How-To: Setup a Holiday/Inclement Weather Auto Attendant

During the year, your company will need to setup a Holiday or Inclement weather Auto Attendant to switch on or off without the assistance from Voxox.

Step One - Submit a ticket to support@voxox.com or call 866-514-8647, Option 3, Option 1 with the following information.

1. One Auto Attendant for Holiday or Inclement Weather or both

  • Product: TC-FREE-AA 1.9
  • Name : Choose a name you want to name this Auto Attendant to differentiate it from your Main Auto Attendant
  • Email Address : Where you want the voicemails to be delivered to
  • Option Number : What option number you want the caller to press to leave a voicemail
  • Time-out option : Do you want the Auto Attendant recording to loop or do you want it to time out and go to voicemail?

2. One Extension to create a recording for the Auto Attendant

  • Product: TC-FREE-SEAT 1.9
  • Name : Choose a name to differentiate the extension from your other extensions
  • Extension : Choose an extension number. Preferably an extension that is outside of your normal extension group.
  • Email Address : Where you want the recording to be delivered to.

The support team will build your Auto Attendant and recording extension, then call you when the task is complete.

Step TwoRecording Your Greeting
  • From any phone in the office, please dial the assigned extension for the recording
  • You will hear, 'Please leave your recording after the tone. The recording will be emailed to you shortly.' (This will be created by the tech working the ticket)
  • The recording will be delivered to the email address specified
  • Save recording to your computer
Step Three - Uploading your Auto Attendant Greeting
  • Log into http://portal.voxox.com/ with username
  • Click Features at the top
  • Click Auto Attendant on the left
  • Select your Auto Attendant from the dropdown menu and find the new Auto Attendant
  • Scroll down to Menu - ROOT
  • Click the Browse button
  • Select the saved recording
  • Scroll down and click Save
Step Four - Enabling your new Auto Attendant
  • Click Features at the top
  • Click Numbers on the left
  • Click the number you would like to modify
  • Choose the name of your new Auto Attendant from the dropdown
  • Click Save and test by calling the number

NOTE: When you return to the office, please remember to configure your inbound numbers to the original inbound routing or Ring to.
